Open Positions for 2016-17 School Year
Grounds Beautification Chair: Peter Kirk may be an old school, but there is a lot we can do to make it look better! Our PTSA has drafted an “Adopt-A-Garden” program to divide and conquer the task of beautifying the landscaping at Peter Kirk. Now we need someone to lead the way by implementing this program, organizing a few clean-up days throughout the year, and managing volunteers. Our Grounds Beautification Chair will work with our school principal, custodians, District grounds leads, parents, teachers, and community volunteers to help Peter Kirk look its best and to keep us herbicide-free. Reflections Chair: We are looking for someone or a team of people to lead the National PTSA Reflection Art Contest at PK. This is a National program that invites students to submit artwork in different categories. The Chair would need to review all the requirements for submission and make sure that these requirements are communicated to the PK students. The students may do a lesson in class for their submission and many do it at home. The Chair would then need to collect all the artwork, display it in the library, and schedule different judges from outside of PK to review the submissions and select who would then move on to the District level. The deadline is typically in October so this happens at the beginning of the school year. Reflections Home Page. Contact: Mer Rasche
If you are interested in volunteering with us, you must first fill out the district volunteer application and complete the screening process. For questions about individual positions, please contact the position contact as indicated above.
