The Second Grade Garden is a class community project that allows the children in second grade to learn, touch, plant and dig in garden beds and a butterfly garden specifically reserved for them. Parents volunteer to teach lessons, which are generally offered once a month or every few months. This is a fun way to introduce students to a variety of natural science topics and help them develop an understanding of our natural ecosystem, while instilling a sense of wonder and pride in growing their own flowers and vegetables.
